Many of them are built to support back and side sleepers. Because of the nature of foam, this mattress type does a great job of cradling your curves and reducing motion transfer. But stomach sleepers beware: An all-foam mattress that’s too soft won’t provide enough support for your lower back, which can be harmful. Your spine will sink out of alignment and your neck will become more angled and forced into more of an awkward position.
